Barns or no barns? You can help decide.

WQG is planning a Quilt Barn Trail for Washington County. ( If you need to know what this is, and what we're planning, read this.)We are funding the first six blocks, and thanks to Cultural Coalition of Washington County who generously gave us a grant, we now have funding for twelve blocks.
What we can do now...
We had planned to begin creating and installing the first six last summer, but we ran into a snag with the county sign ordinance. We have since learned that Oregon has some of the most strict rural ordinances in the country.

Our County Commissioners have agreed to begin the process of evaluating this ordinance and possibly rewriting it to allow our Quilt Barn Trail to become a reality. If you support this project, please write a letter NOW to our County Commissioners to let them know. The more public support we have, the more likely the needed change will be made.

Our goal and gift to our county
Their names and addresses are here. A letter to the editor of your Washington County newspaper wouldn't hurt, either. The commissioners will begin in March, so now is the time to show your support. With your help we can fulfill our commitment to beautify our area, increase tourism, and feature our agricultural heritage.
