Sum of Many Parts and Timeless Stitches open at Washington County Museum

Both new exhibits had a soft opening yesterday at the museum. I stopped by, and just as I was leaving, Bill Volckening came in. He toured the show, taking lots of photos, and plans to return to show his Gee's Bend quilt for the Thursday @ noon Why Quilts Matter segment on June 19. The first Thursday event is today, May 22, with the discussion afterwards led by Shirlene Harrington. Other segments and lectures are scheduled almost every Thursday through July 31st, from 12 to 1pm.

Today Bill blogged about the show on his fabulous blog, Wonkyworld. Check out his blog, and come see the show!
