November Meeting last Monday
Our meeting this week was dedicated to our Charity Committee, led by Carolyn Drosd and Marcia Elliott. They invited representatives from the charities we've chosen to support with our quilts this year. Represented were CARES Northwest and Angels Making a Difference (look for their links on the left). Our third charity has suspended accepting quilts, but the chaplain of the new Kaiser Permanente hospital was there. Each representative spoke about their organization and about their specific need for our quilts. After their presentations, we voted to amend our group of three to include Kaiser. All of the quilts shown here (and a few more not in the photo) were then divided between the three groups. What a great job our Charity Committee does!
