Stitches in Bloom Winner

NASA Sun Flower by WQG member Jean Lasswell
Jean Lasswell entered the fabric challenge and won a blue ribbon for NASA Sun Flower, from a photo of the sun by NASA. She used her new felting machine to create the sun's corolla.

The challenge fabric, Freespirit Fabric’s Sunflowers in Lavender from Snow Leopard Designs Botanical Collection, was fussycut to use various colors of petals and the darker flower centers. The three challenge winners will be on display for two more weeks at Greenbaum's Enchanted Forest in Salem.
