
The event will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Jessie Mays Community Center in North Plains (30975 NW Hillcrest St, North Plains, OR 97133) from 9 am to 4 pm. Participation is FREE. All quilts will be donated through our charity quilting committee. You may use any fabrics you like- from your own stash or from our charity fabric stash.
Some people like to work alone, and some like to work with a partner. It's up to you!

*You can also use a pre-cut Layer Cake. You will need one each of a main fabric and a background fabric. A full layer cake of each background and main will make a larger quilt.

Supplies:

or 6”x18” for cutting

Pre-cutting: If you are using yardage, cut your fabric into six - 10½” wide strips, width of fabric then into 24 - 10½” squares of each background and main.
The Layer
Cake pre-cuts are 10”. If you are using pre-cuts and need additional fabrics
cut the additional fabrics into 10” squares.

Peggy says that adding one additional row to the bottom would make the quilt 57" x 72"- a better fit for an adult. We would like to make the quilts this size at our charity event.
Adding the additional row will increase the fabric requirements to 2 1/3 yards each of background and main.
Cut (7) 10 1/2 " strips and sub-cut the strips into (27) 10 1/2" squares of each background and main.
